In fall 2017, I accompanied clients through the beauty of southern Bavaria: Garmisch-Partenkirchen, the Zugspitze, Füssen and the castles of King Ludwig. I also traveled to the well-preserved medieval town of Esslingen near Stuttgart, and the historically fascinating Nuremberg for a tour of the Documentation Center Nazi Party Rally Grounds.
In the spring of 2017, I was selected by the German National Tourist office to join a special trip to Dresden, Leipzig and Berlin, visiting hotels and experiencing the cities firsthand – much like you might, on your own trip. An add-on to that trip took me to emigration museums in Bremerhaven and Hamburg for family heritage research. That summer, I returned to Europe for a second AMA Waterways river cruise from Amsterdam to Basel on the Rhine River visiting the Netherlands, Germany, France and Switzerland.
During 2016 I traveled to Europe three times – visiting Germany, Austria, Hungary, Italy, Croatia, Greece, Monaco, France and Spain – traveling by train, car, cruise ship and river boat. We celebrated Easter in Nuremberg and toured many charming hotels nearby in well-known Bavarian towns. In July, we sailed the stunning Adriatic and Mediterranean Seas with Azamara Club Cruises. We enjoyed the beautiful Christmas markets of the Danube River with AMA Waterways in late fall, cruising from Budapest to Nuremberg.
I have plenty of details to share about these trips. Please contact me for more information or follow Trish York Travel on Instagram and Facebook.
